About

The Annaborg House (a neoclassical property) was built in 1782/83 by county administrator F.C. Brammer, who named the house after his wife, Anna. The Hillerød Art Association has kept the name and has made the house the Annaborg Art House (Kunsthuset Annaborg) and has been running it as an art exhibition venue since 2014.

The Annaborg House is a beautiful old house with a long history and a wonderful location in connection with Frederiksborg Castle - the National History Museum.

Hillerød Art Association – Kunsthuset Annaborg, is looking forward to welcoming many visitors (free of charge) into our beautiful house and seeing the Japanese Danish Exhibition - 交・Krydsfelt.

Curator

Yuko Takada Keller

Since moving to Denmark in 1997, Yuko has exhibited many works not only in Denmark but also in Japan and some other countries. While doing so, Yuko has come to deeply recognize the differences and similarities between the two countries, as well as the significance of cultural exchange.

Main Curations

2002: Commissioned by Portalen, she planned an exhibition of Japanese artists, beginning her career as a curator in addition to her own artistic activities.
2004: Co-organized the "Japansk Vinde (Love for Japan)" exhibition at Gallery Spot with Helga Jensen, who was the gallery's director at the time (the same exhibition was also held in 2008).
2005: Curated Japanese artists for the Danish-Japanese Art Exhibition at the request of Dronninglund Kunstcenter.
2007: The exhibition of Japanese artists, "Japanese Suppleness", which Yuko co-hosted with Helga Jensen at  Gjethuset, was a great success. Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II also visited the exhibition, and she served as her guide.

2014: Co-organized "Fiber Futures" at Gjethuset, showcasing 30 Japanese artists, with Helga Jensen.

2017: Curated Japanese artists for the "IKI" Japan-Danish Art Exhibition at Dronninglund Kunstcenter.

2025: In collaboration with Helga Jensen, held the first-ever Japanese edition of the Danish group exhibition "ARThitecture" at the Nipponbashi House in Osaka.

In recent years, she has built a strong relationship with Annaborg, both as an artist and a curator.

For this exhibition, she jointly selected participating artists with Annaborg and also participated as an artist herself.
